Breakfast & Local Eating Places

Mid Winter special Offer

Stay 2 or more nights mid week ( Monday to Thursday ) during November through to end of February and enjoy a light supper in front of the log fire on one evening of your stay with our compliments. Meal to be booked in advance.

We love our food at Hopton House and aim to use local or organic produce where possible.

Breakfasts are a relaxed affair, starting at 8.30 for the earlier riser and available till 10.00 if you want a lie in and can resist the smell of freshly brewed coffee and just baked muffins wafting up the stairs.

Start your day with some local apple juice or freshly squeezed orange juice and a bowl of our Hopton House Granola with natural yoghurt and homemade cinnamon spiced fruit compote.

Then tuck into a full cooked Shropshire breakfast including home cure bacon and locally made sausage from one of our many famous butchers and our own free range eggs cooked as you like them.

If you prefer something lighter then try our freshly baked muffins or ginger scones . What about scrambled eggs and smoked salmon or a bowl of organic porridge topped with brown sugar?

There are some lovely places to eat locally - we do recommend The Jolly Frog but we can also provide a meal based on the best of what's available locally. Just tell us your likes and dislikes and we'll do the rest.

“The breakfasts are out of this world. We have learnt that scrambled eggs are usually something to be avoided and could not believe it when asked "how would you like them cooked?"
